Natural Horsemanship Pioneer Pat Parelli

Many great horseman have stepped into the Road to the Horse round pens to prove their mettle and showcase the best natural horsemanship has to offer, but in 2011 something unprecedented will occur. For the first time in the event’s history the man who coined the term natural horsemanship will himself step into the spotlight as a competitor. Natural horsemanship pioneer Pat Parelli will join two-time road to the horse champions Chris Cox and Clinton Anderson at the World Championship of Colt-Starting in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on February 25-27, 2011.

“Pat Parelli is a natural horsemanship living legend and we are honored to have him compete in the 2011 Road to the Horse Legends. It has always been my dream for the event to bring the three greatest horsemanship educators of our modern time under one roof, and 2011 is the year we will see that dream become a reality,” says event producer Tootie Bland.

Since coining the term natural horsemanship over 20 years ago, Pat and his wife and teaching partner Linda Parelli have dedicated their lives to changing the world for horses and humans. By reaching more than 200,000 people in over 35 countries across the globe, the Parelli program has given horse lovers across the world the opportunity to create lasting relationships with their equine partners by replacing fear, force and intimidation with love, language and leadership.
