We rode in Northern New Mexico today. The altitude was about 7,500 feet. A storm came up in the afternoon and hailed the mountains white. Luckily we had already made it to camp. We’re still seeing a lot of rattlesnakes. A rider’s horse was bit yesterday, and they took it to the vet thinking it had colic. The vet knew right away what had happened and started the horse on anti-venom. Hopefully, it will be OK.
