Double Fudge Brownies with Chipotle Cream
– makes 16
1 box , 1 lb. 2.4 oz Duncan Hines Double Fudge Brownie mix
water , oil and egg as per recipe on box
1/3 cup dark chocolate chips or broken pieces of 75% of a chocolate bar
For the cream layer:
4 oz. of softened cream cheese
1 egg
1/3 cup Fischer & Weiser Original Roasted Raspberry Chipotle Sauce(R)
(optional: 1/4 teaspoon chipotle powder and/or 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon)
Heat oven to 350 degrees F (for a dark pan heat only to 325 F). Cover bottom of 9″ square pan only with non-stick spray. Make the mix according to directions, set aside.
Beat the cream layer ingredients together on low speed until smooth. Spread 3/4 of brownie batter in pan. Spoon the cheese mixture by large spoonfuls evenly spaced on the brownie batter until gone. Spoon remaining batter over filling. Cut through the entire mixture with a plastic knife several times and swirl for marbled effect. Sprinkle with broken chocolate or chips.
Bake 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out almost clean when inserted 1 inch from pan side. (Check at 35 minutes).
Cool completely in pan for approximately two hours. Cut into 4 rows by 4 rows for 16 Double Fudge Brownies with Chipotle Cream
